Her House of Grace is designed for adult women ages 18 and up who are seeking a peaceful, stable shared-living home. This includes women transitioning from shelters, aging out of foster care, relocating, or simply looking for a calm, affordable place to live.
Rent payments are accepted via Zelle, Baselane, direct deposit, or approved cash deposits at our designated banking institution.
Deposit and payment instructions are provided during resident orientation.
Physical cash, personal checks, money orders, and other unapproved payment methods are not accepted unless expressly approved in writing by Ownership.
This policy helps ensure payments remain secure, properly documented, and consistently processed.
No! Her House of Grace does not review credit scores, credit reports, or credit history.
Past evictions are not a concern. What matters most is your ability to afford rent and make consistent, on-time payments moving forward.
All applicants must upload a valid government-issued photo ID (front and back) and proof of income as part of the application process.
These documents are required in order for your application to be reviewed.
Income verification is required to confirm that you can afford monthly rent and the required security deposit; however, earning three times the rent is not required.
Acceptable documentation includes recent pay stubs, a new hire or offer letter, government assistance verification, or another verifiable source of income.
Yes! As part of the application process, Her House of Grace conducts a soft background review to support a safe and respectful shared living environment.
Background information is reviewed individually, taking into account the nature of the history, time elapsed, and overall suitability for shared living. Findings are not automatically disqualifying and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Yes! All homes include full utilities and complimentary Wi-Fi at no additional cost, allowing residents to plan their monthly expenses with clarity.
All residency at Her House of Grace is offered on a month-to-month basis. There are no long-term lease commitments required, allowing flexibility while maintaining clear expectations.
Yes! A $50.00 non-refundable application fee is required to apply.
This fee covers administrative processing and a soft background screening.
Submitting an application does not guarantee placement or availability.
To move in, residents must pay:
The security deposit is not applied to the last month of rent.
After residency ends, the security deposit (or remaining balance, if deductions apply) is returned within 30 days, in accordance with Missouri law. Residents may choose to receive their deposit via Zelle or by mailed check. If a check is requested, a valid forwarding mailing address must be provided at the time residency ends. Any deductions will be explained in an itemized statement sent via email.
No! Her House of Grace is independent shared living, not a program, treatment facility, or transitional service. Residents manage their own daily lives, schedules, and responsibilities while living in a structured, respectful home.
No! Guests are not permitted inside or outside the home. Our homes operate at full residential capacity to protect privacy, safety, and peace for all residents. Residents are free to come and go as they choose and may visit friends or family off-site.
